What we do

Movement and Games in Chairs (MAGIC)

Movement and Games in Chairs Classes

  • MAGIC stands for Movement and Games in Chairs and is aimed at people with long term health conditions and for those with mobility challenges.  MAGIC is ideal for people who are living independently and provides opportunities for people to socialise and have fun!  MAGIC is led by trained volunteers in community centres, libraries, fire stations and churches.
  • The Everybody Active team offers a free 3-hour workshop for volunteers who would like to deliver MAGIC in their local community.  The training gives volunteers lots of ideas of games to include in a MAGIC class as well as basic health and safety awareness.  Once training has been completed the Everybody Active team will provide support for groups to set up their own MAGIC class.
  • To find your nearest MAGIC class please see the timetables below, or if you’d like to book training please use the following link – https://MAGICbatApr24.eventbrite.co.uk.

Movement & Dance in Chairs Classes

  • The Movement & Dance in Chairs class is aimed at people with memory challenges, people with long and short-term health conditions and people who are less mobile. It is ideal for older people and provides opportunities to move and dance together, to socialise and have fun!

How we can help

Testimonials

I have stared at four walls for the last 18 months, this is exactly what I needed – exercise with laughter! I have absolutely loved the class.

How we can help

Testimonials

It is an activity that I enjoy. I enjoy supporting people, I meet new people & I have made friends. When there are enough leaders there, I don’t have to be there every week.
