During the national Inclusion and Diversity week, we asked people passing through Huddersfield and Dewsbury bus stations to tell us something unique about them. We asked them to write or draw this on a leaf cut out to stick on our diversity trees. We attracted a lot of conversation about the Community Plus service, but most importantly, what people felt was unique about their communities.

Dewsbury Library Hub also displayed a tree throughout the week and asked their visitors to fill out a leaf. Responses included ‘willing to help others’, ‘calm, collective and funny’, ‘my heritage’, ‘my mummy’ and many, many more!

Feedback was overall very positive and we can’t wait to keep adding to our tree of diversity as the year goes on.
